• Question: Have you ever thought that science is boring?

      No – I think it’s just the case that not all areas of science appeal to everyone! I find rivers, fish and insects really interesting, but someone else might be into astronomy or chemistry and find my work quite dull. That’s what makes science so cool – there are so many different things to study and specialise in 🙂

      Some areas of Science are less interesting to me than others. For example, when i was being trained in NMR ( nuclear magnetic reonance) i nearly fell asleep! Yet i enjoy looking after the NMR instrument as it is a supercooled magnet that has to be kept cool with liquid nitrogen and liquid helium, but the theory behind the technique was soooo dull.
