I enjoy my job, and try to not do work outside of my paid hours, but my freelance job where I develop live science show demonstrations can mean I am away from home, which means my children may not see me as much as they would lilke ( or maybe they prefer this!) I spend some of my free time building projects for demos, but I enjoy it, so it is more of a hobby for me that I am lucky to get paid for form time to time. I have been lucky enough to travel widely and meet some celebs too!

I certainly know a lot about some things I use at home, interesting trivia. When I finished work, I am free to do what I like but I have to go to work on a regular schedule, just like school. Unlike school, if I really misbehaved when not at work, my employers could still get rid of me, but this is true of all jobs

I spend a lot of time working or reading relevant research, which doesn’t leave much time to relax. That said, I enjoy the work I do, so it isn’t too bad having to work long hours. I also find I have a greater appreciation for the people around me who also work hard and produce interesting research in their own fields.
