I get £50,000. A lot of people are shy about this in Britain. It depends where you live and what you do

I’m actually working unfunded at the moment, as I’m writing up my PhD. This isn’t always the case though.

I currently get about £35000/year. But it changes a lot depending on experience, where you work, etc. And its worth noting that if you want to become a scientist, the usual route is to do a PhD after your first degree, which means you don’t earn for about 8 years after leaving school.

I get £17,000 per anum to support my PhD. This is a tax-free stipend. I also get paid per hour to teach undergraduates, this changes a lot between months.
