• Question: is it possible to re-create the dinosaurs?

      The short answer – unlikely, it would be very difficult. We do get mosquitos and biting flies from the time of the dinosaurs preserved in amber, but the amber tends to preserve the husk of the insects, and not the soft tissues that would contain the DNA we’d need. Even if we could find what we needed (i.e. preserved blood from a dinosaur), it wouldn’t necessarily contain DNA, which is what we’d need to recreate a dinosaur.
