      It depends how close we are to it – the amount of energy released in a supernova explosion is very high. The light itself is bright enough to cause permanent blindness, so either way, it’s pretty dangerous!

      Light is the same no matter where it comes from. The dangerous bit coming from suns is the high energy stuff like ultra violet, up to x rays, which is filtered out by our earth
