• Question: why does the earth feel like it is flat even though it is not??

      We are tiny dots on a very big and bumpy surface, so it is hard to see. If you look at the sea, you might just see a curve

      This is due to the very huge size of the earth – when we stand on the earth’s surface, we can only observe a very small fraction of the overall surface, which appears flat. If you could see for far enough, you would be able to appreciate the curvature of the surface.
