• Question: Have you ever been in a life threating situation because of science?

      No really, no. We work hard to try and make sure our science is as safe as it can possibly be. Obviously, its never possible to be completely sure you’ve eliminated all the risks, but for what I do, it is rarely more dangerous than an other line of work or workplace – and a lot safer than some!

      Thankfully not, no. With fieldwork (i.e. work outside of a lab), all the work is assessed beforehand and we think about what might put us at risk and how to stay safe.
