Good question 🙂 Bees visit flowers, and collect nectar, which is stored in a special “honey stomach” (which is different from a normal stomach). When the bee has collected enough nectar, it returns to the hive, and delivers the nectar to another “indoor” bee. Then a really cool process happens – the bees pass the honey “mouth-to-mouth” to reduce the amount of water in it, which processes the nectar into honey. Lastly, the honey is placed into storage cells (which you’ll have seen if you’ve ever seen honeycomb or the inside of a hive), and it is covered with beeswax.
