  This isn’t really my field of expertise, but there is an excellent Wikipedia page on this (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exoplanet). Planets outside of our solar system are called ‘exoplanets’, and so far, we’ve found almost 4000 of them – and that number is increasing all the time.
