There’s an initiative called “check, clean, dry”, which promotes checking and cleaning equipment that you have used to removes traces of anything invasive.
We can also try treating them with herbicides, but it’s difficult to do this effectively as you need something that will only target the invasive plant.
You can use inspection and quarantine to try to limit the spread across borders too.
Ultimately, I think the best control method is education – if people understand why invasive species are a problem and what they can do to reduce the spread, that goes a long way to fighting a problem that exists all around the world.
