• Question: What has been your best experience as a scientist?

      My best experience has been travelling to Iceland for a month to work out there. There were six of us, we all lived together and went out to a field site to do experiments and collect samples every day. Iceland is a really beautiful place, so to spend so much time doing something I really love in an amazing setting is really hard to beat!

      Apart from the routine of work, I have made some genuine discoveries. Knowing you are the first , no matter how small the achievement is a great feeling. Also when people say “your a scientist, but you look so normal” is a relief
