      That’s a tricky question to answer. The sun’s temperature is really very high, even at the surface (around 5500 degrees Celsius). Rough estimates suggest that we could get about 0.2% of the way from the Earth to the sun before we couldn’t go any further. The distance between the Earth and the sun is about 93 million miles, so we could go about 186,000 miles.
