I am a scientist because I love science and read hard in school as I was told that science students must pass English, Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. I passed all these courses and my result was good enough to study any science course at University.
The more I studied the animals and environments I worked with, the more I wanted to be able to understand them. As a scientist, I am able to do this, and I am also able to pass on this knowledge to other people, so that they can understand these things too!
Being a scientist means I get to find out the answers to questions I have about something that interests me. Think of something you really, really enjoy doing – it could be a sport, a subject at school, a game you like playing, etc. Now imagine doing that as a job. That’s what being a scientist is like for me – I get to do something I love every day.
