• Question: You talked about it a little in the chat but i just wondered if you think that the growth of human organs for research purposes could ever replace the use of animal testing?

Human cell culture in research is the best match for preclinical studies. I think the results obtained are far better than those of animals that we have specie differences with. Instead of looking for a kidney donor, in the nearest future, the good portion from an individual can be grown in the lab and when mature can be transplanted back to the individual or another individual with a close match.
I think this is an improvement over the use of animals but all these are early stages in development.
